5/19 & 5/20 You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown / Artful Living
Artful Living announces auditions for summer musical, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. THREE sets of
Peanuts, (children, young adults and adults) who will each be featured. Ages 8 -108 welcome! No need to
schedule appointment. Children ages 8-13 on May 19 & 20, 6:00-7:30 pm. Adults and young adults ages 14
and up, May 19 & 20, 7:30 – 9:00 pm. Auditions held at HK Middle School (451 Rte 81 Killingworth). Adults bring
marked sheet music. Prepare a song from Charlie Brown or in the style of this musical. Accompanist will be
provided. Children will sing in small groups and do not need to bring a prepared song. Join Charlie, Lucy,

8/24 & 8/25 Wizard of Oz / Connecticut Theatre Company
Time: 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Where: The Repertory Theatre | 23 Norden Street | New Britain, CT 06051
Run Dates: 10/10/14 – 10/26/14
We are casting 8 principle roles as well as additional ensemble roles available for more children and adults.
Some roles may be doubled as outlined below or split depending upon cast size.
Please come prepared with 16 bars of a musical theater song in the style of the show. Monologues are not
needed, but you may be asked to cold read from the script. A call back audition, if needed, will be held on
Wednesday August 27th, 6:30 to 8:30pm. Those auditioners who the director wishes to see further will be

5/17 & 5/18 Much Ado About Nothing / Long Wharf
FOR HIGHSCHOOLERS: SHAKE IT UP SHAKESPEARE Shakespeare’s words are like a heartbeat. Here at
Long Wharf, we believe what better way to breathe life into a story than to infuse it with music. Since 2010, we
have presented Taming of the Shrew, Hamlet, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Romeo and Juliet. During the
summer, ensemble members spend their days rehearsing, memorizing lines and blocking, and delving
deeper into the Bard.
This summer, we will be presenting Much Ado About Nothing for our 5th Anniversary.
ALUM AUDITIONS will be SATURDAY, MAY 17 from 1:00-5:00
We will be covering Viewpoints, Music Solos (think 80s classics!), Readings from the Script, etc. Come
dressed to move!

Auditions for College and High School Actors for NCTC's Les Miserables
The Newington Children's Theatre Company (NCTC) is holding auditions for college and high school-age
actors for their summer production of Les Miserables on May 31st and June 1st, by appointment. Callbacks will
be June 1st, time TBD. Rehearsals are June 4-July 10, Monday-Thursday, 6-9pm and some Saturdays, time
In 19th century France, Jean Valjean is released from 19 years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in
store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a life-
long struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe
Valjean can change his ways. Finally, during the Paris student uprising of 1832, Javert must confront his ideals
after Valjean spares his life and saves that of the student revolutionary who has captured the heart of Valjean's
adopted daughter. His world-view shattered, Javert commits suicide, and Valjean at last attains the peace he
has sought for so long.

from the show. Also looking to cast two girls, ages 7-12, for Young Eponine and Little Cosette and one boy,
