5/29 – 6/2 – Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, Jr. /Curtain Call’s Summer Youth Theatre

Curtain Call's Summer Youth Theater is seeking young actors entering 4th grade to entering 8th grade for its
production of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, Jr.

Auditions to be held: May 29, 2013 from 6pm to 9pm and June 1, 2013 from 1pm to 3pm
Callbacks: June 2, 2013 from 12pm to 3pm

Auditioning actors should prepare no more than 32 bars of a song that shows your range and acting abilities; a
song from the show is fine but not required. Please bring sheet music for your song in the correct key for our
accompanist.

Come prepared to dance, dressed comfortably and in the proper footwear (any dance shoe or sneaker): NO
SANDALS, FLIP-FLOPS, OPENED-TOED SHOES OR “HEELIES.” We will see all auditionees in the order they sign
in. No appointments.

*Crew positions are also available and sign-ups will be held during our auditions.

Rehearsals will begin June 15, 2013 and are Monday through Thursdays 6:30 to 9:30pm. Some weekend
rehearsals during the day may be possible after July 4, 2013.
Performances are August 14, 16 at 7:30pm and August 17, 18 at 2pm.

5/30 – 6/3 – Into the Woods/Curtain Call’s Summer Youth Theatre

Curtain Call's Summer Youth Theater seeks actors and musicians entering high school to age twenty-one for its
production of Into the Woods. We are looking for strong actors and musicians to do a new conceptual production
which will incorporate musicians onstage as part of the story, much in the way of such musicals as Once,
American Idiot, and the recent revivals of Sweeney Todd and Company. Both actors and musicians will have ample
stage time and must be motivated performers.

Auditions for Actors: May 30, 2013 from 7pm to 10pm and June 1, 2013 from 4pm to 7pm
Auditions for Musicians: May 31, 2013 from 7pm to 10pm
Callbacks: June 3, 2013 from 6pm to 9pm

Auditioning actors should prepare no more than 32 bars of a legit or contemporary song that shows your range and
acting abilities (please, no Les Miz); a song from the show is fine but not required. Please bring sheet music for
your song in the correct key for our accompanist. You will also be taught a movement audition, so dress
comfortably.

Auditioning musicians, please come prepared with a song (memorized) to play - no more than a minute of music
You may also be asked to sight read (an accompanist will be available if you have accompaniment). We are
looking especially for (but not limited to) the following instruments: flute, clarinet (reed doublers are a plus), violin,
cello, trumpet, French horn, piano, upright bass (not electric) and drums/percussion. Again, please note you will be
staged into the show, so much of the music will be memorized. We are looking at you as performers and
characters as well as musicians.
